León books their ticket to next week's League's Cup Final against the Seattle Sounders after besting Pumas 2-nil.

With goals from Santiago Colombatto and Santiago Ormeño, León defeated Pumas in Houston, Texas this evening and booked a ticket to next week's final in Las Vegas.

León were the heavy favorites heading into tonight's match, and the bias became more obvious after the 4th minute when Sebastián Saucedo of Pumas was sent off after a late tackle on Jean Meneses.

In the 16th minute, 'Los Esmeraldas' scored courtesy of Santiago Colombatto who took advantage of a deflected ball on a corner kick.

The final nail in the coffin for Pumas was added in 68th minute, as Santiago Ormeño scored the second goal of the night for León after a beautiful set up by Angel Mena.

Pumas battled and struggled to find opportunities all night long, but they were no match as León dominated possession by a whopping 75% to 25%.

León will face MLS side Seattle Sounders in the League's Cup Final set to be played in Las Vegas, Nevada on September 22nd, 2021. The match will be played in Allegiant Stadium. Kick off time is 10PM Eastern.
